I knew at a young age that I was put on this earth to help. At first, is was humans in the human service field where I worked with adults who had developmental disabilities. In that field, I started as a case manager in a residential home and then pursued my career and became a manager for another organization. I then transitioned to working with animals. I began volunteering with a humane society as a dog walker and socialized with them. I then entered a program that worked with dogs who needed a little extra help and specialized attention to get them adopted. It was there that my passion for helping animals became my drive (and where I foster failed not once but twice!!). I left the human service field and became a manager for a dog rescue, and it was there that I knew that I wanted to start my own rescue. It was there that I learned what helping animals was and was not and I was determined to start a rescue and do it right! Starting a rescue has always been a dream of mine but this is bigger. This rescue and all that are a part of it vow to be the voice of the voiceless. To stand up for them and be heard; to rescue, rehabilitate, re-home, and to never stop helping those animals that are in need. We will never give up!

My love for animals started at a very young age. My school went on a field trip to a local fair when I was in fourth grade, the chauffeur took us to see the baby chicks hatch. I had no idea that chickens were in the eggs we ate every day and spent the rest of the afternoon crying! This may sound disturbing but the next few years after I would bring home all the animals that had been killed and give them a proper burial. One night when I was about 12 my mother was driving and our headlights shone on a cat on the side of the road that had been hit. I begged my mother to stop and go back and with some hesitation, she finally gave in. The cat had been hit but was still alive, we rushed him to the vet where they said he would’ve died if we didn’t find him. We named him Bill, he was a giant orange tabby and he lived the rest of his years with us! From there I rescued a bunch of momma cats and their kittens, saved birds, rehomed dogs, and even took care of the occasional injured wild animal. This was all before I was even 20 years old. My love for animals only got stronger as I became older. My family has now rescued multiple dogs who have all come from crappy situations. About 5 years ago I became vegan to further help animals.
